I read a post today where TzeLin Sam tagged me to participate in a writing prompt of 10 Questions and 10 quick answers. The writing prompt came from Linda Ng. Thank you both.

Challenge accepted. Here goes:

1. Favorite drink?

This may take a while. #1 Coffee. Recently, I found a popular name-brand coffee shop, which I hardly ever went to before. To make matters worse, I cannot even tell you what I want or what to say when I order. They just seem to figure it out.

One hot drink I can order from this place is a “Hot chocolate white mocha with whip cream.” It is hot and chocolatey. That’s all I got. Then again, that is all I need.

And by the way, apparently, this coffee shop does not know what the size “big” means, and I don’t speak French very well.

I actually had to point to the “big” cup. And like a caveman, I was reduced to two-word sentences. “That one” in reference to the size cup I wanted.

Any other drink I try to order from this popular coffee-shop sounds more like I am talking in a foreign language. Somehow, they can decipher what I am saying, and they make me something that tastes pretty good.
