A Day Well Spent Refreshing My Soul
My Neighbor Who Needed Help the Most Blessed Me Instead
Before I begin, I would like to thank our Editor, Nancy Blackman for her publication, Refresh the Soul. Nancy Blackman will from time to time publish “prompts” to help the writers, direct their attention on writings that will be of a positive nature. Another way of saying that is she will challenge us to write a story that will help all of us to refresh our souls.
This morning for example
Today I got up early to mow my yard instead of waiting until the weekend. It is a beautiful Louisiana morning, which is maybe just a little bit too hot. However, it is a great day to be outside and just be thankful for the day we have.
Mowing the backyard went well. I was on the riding mower, letting the mower do its job and letting me do what I love to do, which is to drive. Even though I was on my riding mower in the yard, I have what I like to call my go-cart track. It is a figure-eight design as I mow. It is pretty cool and leaves the yard with a pretty cool design.
On to the front yard
The front yard also has its challenges—mainly neighbors, which takes me a litter longer to mow the front yard than the back yard.
