A DREAM COME TRUE

It has happened again,

While watching the 10:00pm News, I saw this story below unfold on TV.

… On 8–11–04 …
As we say our prayers,
“Dear God, please,
let this happen, No More”

Another Officer,
Has fallen today,
Another Officer,
To Rest we Lay.

As I watched the news,
And the stories they tell,
I heard of a local Hero,
A Brave Officer, who fell.

I heard of the rescue,
In “Life-Air”, he soared into the clouds,
If only he could have looked down,
I am sure, he would have been so proud.

All the Uniforms,
The Black, Blues, and Browns
All the Officers,
Who came from across town.
