Lonely Lopez Meets an Angel

I read an article from one of our great writer’s Pam Winter last night which she gives credit to Linda Lum, for a writing challenge. The rules are simple enough. You write a fiction story, which you must use these two words in your story: Door and Fire Escape.

Here goes:

Lonely Lopez meets an Angel

It was late one evening as Lopez Fernando was walking off a hard day at work. He had no interest in parking close to his townhouse, as he just wanted to walk in the cool night air and reminisce about his stressful day.

After he parked his classic Corvette, he decided to walk to a nearby bar, for a few drinks. The bar seemed further than he remembered, but he was determined to get to this bar for a drink. Across the empty street, he saw the bar and he was hoping it was still open.

As he approached the DOOR to the bar, the bright blue neon “OPEN” light in the window had just turned off. He had no choice but to return home and have a few drinks on the balcony of his townhome. Nearing his townhome, he passed a familiar liquor store.
