A Quick Poem About My Treatments
Laying on the radiation table makes me wonder
As I went to my radiation treatment today, it dawned on me. I need to write a poem, and document my radition experience and feelings about my treatments so far. This poem was not only written for me, to anyone going through radiation for cancer. I hope this is an inspiration for anyone battling cancer.
“Mr. Newman…”
As I walked up to the radition building
The doors openned wide.
My Sister jumped out waving “Pom Poms”,
Yelling, “GO ALBERT,GO ALBERT” to my surprize.
She lifted my spirits
On that hot August day
She made me so happy
As I walked down that long hallway.
It is time for my treatment
I lay on this radiation table
I am happy to be here
While I am still fit and able.
I walk into the radiation room
As Mom would say, Like you own the place,
But I know deep in my soul,
I know I walk with Thee in Grace.
