This is a short introduction into the next installment o Miner Joe. The young lover in the first poem, is back to get some more of Miner Joe’s advice and wisdom. Miner Joe is more than willing to help the young lover, and to offer him some of his “hme spun” advice.
I saw the miner again
After he sold his gols
I listened carefully
To the story he told.
He said son listen
And listen to me
Your wife has left you
For the whole world to see.
It is no disgrace
You did all you could do
You loved and provided
For that, everyone knew.
Because she left you
Have no pity or shame
She most likely was tricked
To play a foolish game.
The stakes were high
She knew the risk
She broke you down
To where you barely exist.
