I used to teach in this one elementary school, way out in the parish. . This one 3rd grade teacher was the school's favorite teacher. She had a 2x4 board at the bottom of her door sill, you had to step over to get in her class. Mainly because she always had two bunnies running loose in her classroom.. It was very common for me to go into her class to teach, and see kids holding one of the bunnies at their desk.

The kids would even "chip-in" and bring food for the rabbits. I am sure there are all kinds of laws and rules against this now. .

She was a great teacher, then she retired.
