This is a picture of a young T-Ball baseball player. He has just swung and hit the ball of the T-ball stand. I hope he makes a home run.

Among other “Daddy” duties I have enjoyed with my kids, I loved being my son's T-Ball coach. Becoming my son's coach was a knee-jerk reaction and I am so glad it worked out.

Let The Games Begin

As a young Dad, I was so happy to see my son in his little green and white baseball uniform, it just melted my heart. All the other parents were at the ballpark as well.

You could hear the parents in the stands saying words like: “Oh my son is the best baseball player ever, my son has a private coach, my son’s uncle is a pitcher in the Major League, my son already has a scholarship, blah, blah, blah.” That does not impress me.

The Lizards?

Did anyone tell these parents this is T-Ball? The management team asked, “Which parents want to be a coach for the green and white team… The Lizards?”

I am guessing that is my son’s team, seeing how he was in a green and white shirt.

The Lizards, really? Couldn’t we have picked a better team name other than The Lizards? But first things first, no one wanted to be the coach.

So, there is my son, he was looking straight at me. I stood up and offered to be the coach. I am a sucker for pain, as in my last article.
