Being Your Parents Caregiver
Do you really have a choice?
This article is in response to an article by Christine Schoenwald
Today I read a great story from Christine Schoenwald, titled “Refusing to Be Your Parent’s Caregiver”. My knee jerk reaction to this, as well as many people might be, yes. It is my honor and duty to take care of my parents when they need me the most. They have taken care of me, all my life, it is now time for me to take care of them.
There are even countries, and cultures that emphasize the importance of taking care of our parents at home. All of which are great reasons to be that “Caregiver.”
