peaking Of Wooden Drills: There is a great picture of an antique wooden drill, at the top of the enclosed, UpSplash Photo by: Photo by Hunter Haley on Unsplash.

There was a time I was feeling somewhat nostalgic, about people and places that have crossed paths in my life. then out of the blue and not sure where this came from I started thinking about tools that my grandfather had in his barn. Come to think about it I never really saw him use the tools in his barn other than they hung on the wall for my entire childhood.

He would occasionally ask me if I knew what a certain tool was or how to even use it. if I didn’t know, I could usually figure it out pretty quickly. I was no carpenter but I knew how to work a screwdriverand a hammer.

Then one day as an adult I began thinking about one of his tools I remembered the most.

I hope I am pronouncing this tool correctly. Who remembers a wooden manual handheld drill?

Looking online just now and with a quick internet search I may have just found the official name for this old school manual non-electric wooden drill. It may have been called, a brace and bit wooden drill. That sounds alittle wordy, and too official for me.
