I will not allow it

This is a picture which looks like an image of a Doctor performing some type of an operation. This is a poem of my cancer story. Thanks for the read. Wire Editor Newman, a.k.a. AL.

A Special Thanks

I would like to thank a Special person in my community who reached out to me, and asked me about my cancer prognosis. This person encouraged me with what I am facing, and gave me a friendly nudge to get back to writing also. You know who you are, and thank you again, very much.

Cancer Does Not Own Me

When you help others
And that is what you do
Who comes to your aid?
And helps you too?

As a Christian I know
There is one thing I do not lack.
My Savior, my Messiah,
He always has my back.

As I sit and worry
For this illness I hold no grudge
I rely on my Savior
Who reminds me with a gentle nudge.

For He tells me in the scriptures,
“Be Still, and know I am your God”
It is a comfort to me,
For this disease, which is in my bod.

I worried, for the past few days
I wasted that time, and now it is gone
I have to remind myself, I’m in His arms
Knowing his love, I feel so…
