Before I can start this poem, I think an introduction is needed. Without the introduction, the poem seemed to be entirely too long. And it still may be. I hope not.

I guess I’ll find that out in the responses to follow:

ROLL THE INTRODUCTION PLEASE

Grandmother’s Wedding Dress,

That Fell from The Skies.

During World War II, In a small village in occupied France. This village is Known as. Saint Celestina, France. This a little village, which had very few people. St Celestina was basically overlooked, by any invading army.

St Celestina is hidden in the foothills of the mountains, and a very hard place to get to.

That all changed, at the end of the war when Germany was pulling out.

Many of the villagers saw a lot of militaries, leaving their fair city of Saint Celestina, France.

Even the Americans, were surprised, as they flew over this small village. The Allied troops, saw the German military, leaving Saint Celestina, France.

One American airplane was spotted. This is where the poem begins.
