Happy Mother’s Day
It is getting harder to say
We miss you more, Mom
Each and every day.

We have a plan
We will each wear a red shirt
It was your favorite color
And it will bond all our hurt.

We will give you a toast
And let out a cheer
We will hug each other
And wish you were here.

Sometimes I wonder
If that is not your plan
To keep your kids together
As we hug and all hold hands.

Brother will give the toast
As my voice will not let me speak
Sister will have to pour
As I would pour wine all over our feet.

Some say it gets easier with time
Some would say it gets easier with wine
Some say it gets easier with “Grace”
I just miss the smile upon your face.
