I gotta tell you, I read your rticle and had chills when I read about your sister's "halting" speech. I was in my Doctors office trying to figure out why I could not talk clearly,, and I was out of breat after speaking 3 0r 4 words only... My doctor set me up for a MRA to see if I have had a recent stroke. I objected, but said Ok, what else am I going to tell my doc.

Then, just as your article suggest, My Doc checked my memory, and gave me a "Brain Sobriety Test of sorts. I had to repeat a list of words as he said them. I passed.

He also gave me a simple touch my nose test, and touch his index finger with mine, as he slowly made a circle with his hand, I passed again.

After your article, I can now see the concern my Doc had with my condition last Friday...

PS: My wife would not let me drive at all Friday, and I was good with that. Then again, she seldom lets me drive her car, lol
