Oddly enough our home was also the go-to spot for our youth department in church.

You are corrct, these seniors did become some of my best friends in college. It was kind of sad, when the first friend got a job in Texas, and poof he was gone, Others got married and moved away also. Finally, it was just me. And I stayed at home as a first responder for 32 years. One friend, RIP is no longer with us. In 2005 I went to his funeral. So sad.

Looking back, I would not change a thing.
