How Does Food Comfort and Refresh Your Soul?

First, I would like to thank Nancy Blackman, editor at Refresh the Soul for her prompt in asking what is your favorite comfort food.? At first, I thought, aha, I got this, this is easy. Not so fast Mr. Wire Editor Newman. There are some things to consider first.

I don’t mean to make this complicated, but I have a checklist for comfort food, mainly based on what I am doing at the time.

Comfort food in a car

I would like to say never be distracted in a car while driving. You might end up in one of my crazy driving stories.

Comfort food in a car just has to be some form of a quick drive-in, fast food. I prefer french fries. They are simple and easy to grab out of the bag they come in. You can even use that empty bag as a trash bag to help clean small objects out of your car. Winner Winner.

There are some people who don’t allow eating or drinking in their car. I never was that strict. However, I always have a couple of towels in my car for clean-up, at all times.

Comfort food while teaching

I would rule out anything they would stain your fingertips with cheese or even hot sugar-coated donuts…
