I Bought My Car From a Judge

He gave it to me as a loaner.

I told my community this week that in my past life, I was a Court Bailiff for four years. I loved being a Bailiff. Think about it, I had banker’s hours. I never worked weekends or holidays. I was never “on-call,” and I was always inside. What is there not to love about that?

I also learned so much about the law and got to know so many lawyers and Judges. I actually met a lawyer I went to high school with, and he helped me out in a couple of situations.

Once a tree trimmer cut a tree that did damage to my old chain link fence, and he left limbs in my yard. I asked him to clean and repair the damage, and he refused. What? I asked him again, and he refused.

I talked to my lawyer friend I went to high school with, and one cover letter later from the lawyer was all I needed. I got a new privacy fence, and all the limbs were removed. It’s good to have a nice lawyer friend.
