After Life Advice

Today, I went to Mom’s grave
On this cold December day
I felt something in my heart, And I just knew,
There was something Mom wanted to say.

My precious son
How do you feel
I heard of the radiation
That took 44 days to heal.

So please sit down in the grass
And on your knees, please kneel
I want my words in the wind
To touch you, so I can feel.
While I am lying at rest underneath this grassy hill.

I saw a flower blowing in the wind
so beautiful and so bright
It reminds me of you, Mom,
and I’m thankful for your beautiful life.

The flower stopped blowing in the wind
And landed in the palm of my hand
As I heard Mom’s words of wisdom
In reference to me being a man.
