Just not in that order

Lawyer, Teacher Friend, Family Man, Cajun
“Just not in that order”

Quick Needed Introduction.

Just a few things for clarity.

  1. This poem includes my college students, which I call kids. Just like my kids, my college students are my kids. They can call me anytime for help or advice.
  2. Name delete, I chose to detele the name of the person this poem is about.
  3. One line reads: This Cajun, this ______ _____. Let’s just say there is another Louisiana term for Cajun, that rhymes with “his class”
  4. Now for the poem,

Lawyer, Teacher Friend, Family Man, Cajun
“Just not in that order”

Five years ago today
I met this fellow teacher, a young man
His Cajun accent so thick
At times I could hardly understand.

What I learned from him
And I learned so fast
His friendship was real,
And forever would last

Let me tell you of this friend
A friend of mine
He is so funny, so witty
And down deep, so kind
