~ Or ~ We Met by Accident

Quick Explanation.

This poem is pure fiction. This is not an account of my life. Also, I make a reference to Ford, as in the Ford Motor Company. Someone in this poem owned a Ford dealership.

I also make a reference to an SUV called a Navigator. I do know that Ford does not make a Navigator. The Navigator is a product of the Lincoln Motor Company. To be more precise, Lincoln has always been the Luxury Vehicle Division of the Ford Motor Company.

PS: That is a Chevrolet Nova in the picture. In the poem, I said, he drove a Ford. I just could not find a Ford on the back of a wrecker for the picture.

Looking Back on One’s Life

~ or ~ We met by accident

It’s cold in the house
It’s the still of the night
No one is home
This doesn’t feel right

For fifteen years
I’ve heard laughter and song
Now, all that I know
Is this all seems so wrong

What I once could explain
Feel flat on my face
I’ve ended my love
In such a disgrace
