while I was reading Nancy Blackman’s article, I could only think of one phrase. A phrase my Mom, (R.I.P. Mom), repeated to me, over and over for many years.
Okay Wire, that is a phrase, or, how is that “Affirmation?” Good question, Let me try to explain.
Anytime I started something new, or different, for example: when I was in the band, and I would walk on stage, Mom would say, “Go in there like you Own The Place.” When I started my Police Academy Days, not knowing what to expect that first day, Mom told me, “No Worries, Go in there Like You Own The Place.”
This was a phrase which always seemed to calm any fears, and gave me confidence, and encouragement…
