It is so good to be writing again and I am happy to do so. Last week was not a “banner” week for me. I lost a lot of good writing time. However, after a friendly nudge from a fellow writer, that is all it took. The moral to this story is, to check in on your writers in our writing communities. It means a lot.

The road to my writing recovery was about a poem on “fear,” which I wrote. It was a dark poem for me to write and really had no place in Refresh the Soul. But it did help me out of a slump.

Mowing the grass to clear my head.

My plan for today was to write a typical, Wire Editor Newman happy upbeat story. A story to truly refresh the soul. After my last article and my last week, I needed something happy to happen and to write about it quickly.

I am sure sometime today something will happen, but when? What is the old saying? “When you least expect it” What will happen today, and what will lead up to this typical W.E.Newman story? Just like clockwork, it happened. My story was unfolding right in front of my eyes and my riding mower.
