SHARING MOM’S WISDOM
The Wisdom of a Mother
Introduction
I enjoyed writing this poem, as it reminded me so much of my younger days, and growing up with a single parent. My Dad had passed away when I was just nine years old, and my Mom was left to figure out many things by herself. Three of those objectives for Mom were:
1) How to get a job. My Mom had been a stay at home Mom. Now suddenly she had to provide for three children all on her own.
2) How to get all of us to school on time, and getting herself to work on time.
3) Feeding us and clothing us were most important to her.
4) Going back to school herself, to get an education and a job.
We lived in a nice neighborhood, however, she worked late nights, and would get home until after dark. . Now, as a Dad myself, I know how important it is to watch over and protect my kids from danger, harm, and evil. Looking back, Mom was doing all of that, however, she did it alone for many years to follow.
Thanks Mom for all you did to love and protect us.
SHARING MOM’S WISDOM
The Wisdom of a Mother
I’ve loved my Mom
Since I was a child
She encouraged me to dream
And let my imaginations run wild.
