Introduction

A Tribute Poem to the NASA Space Shuttle Columbia

February 1, 2003 was truly a sad day for America and the rest of the world. That was the day the Space Shuttle Columbia, broke apart, and crashed to earth across parts of east Texas and the western border of Louisiana. Everyone aboard The Space Shuttle Columbia was unfortunately killed. (May God rest their souls).

Local Law Enforcement agencies from Dallas TX to Shreveport LA and nearly every Government Agency were dispatched at once. This was ordered as a rescue attempt, of any Astronaut and any recovery of any piece of the Space Shuttle Columbia.

There will be a conclusion to this poem at the end of this poem.

Seven Young Hero’s

We were seven young minds,
Willing to explore,
Willing to learn,
And, to open that next door.

We learned as a team,
But lived closer than that.
We were as a family,
To be exact.

We knew the risks,
The consequences and such,
But we had to explore,
To feel adrenalin and the…
