Even the simple things become so huge. My dad received a rebate check from an insurance company, right after I closed his bank account. The bank I always went to would not now will not cash his rebate check because I closed his account. I am the POA, the bank did not care… You dad has to have his signature on the back of the check. I went to my bank, showed them my POA, and it was cashed in seconds… aaarrrggg..
