THE BROTHER’S TIDE

At the beach
The sun tries to hide,
Some say it affects,
The changing of the tide.

As the tide approaches,
New sand dollars it brings,
Changing the scenery,
And songbirds who sing.

The older Sand Dollars,
Who are stuck in the sand,
Are washed backed to sea,
By our Creator’s hand.

This is a miracle,
Caused by “Ebb and Flow,”
To keep the new shells,
And to remember,
those shells who had to go.

I looked deep Into my life…,
And I am so proud of all my new sand dollars,
And even more proud, …for new parents,
And their new precious sand dollars, to follow.

There is a Hall of Fame,
Of all the Sand Dollars in my life,
For all they have taught me,
About Love, Courage, And Strife.
