Quick Introduction
This poem was both fun and strange to write. When I wrote the poem, it literally took off on its own, and I was just along for the ride. With a pen and a piece of paper, in hand I wrote as fast as I could.
It was exciting to write a poem so fast, and the words just fell into place.
I was just driving down the road when that verse came into my thoughts. I had to pull over and write this. I could so imagine a deep devilish voice insisting to use his pen, to sign my soul away. In this Pit were thorns covering the roof, and horns on this monster’s head. Suffice to say, I was at church, the very next Sunday.
The Devilish Pit
How do I get out of here?
What do you do?
When Satan has control?
He wants you and your body,
As well as your mind and soul.
How do you tell others?
How close you came,
To losing your life
And losing your fame.
How do you convince others?
That this is no joke
When you feel his persuasion
The cuffs and the rope.
