This is some great advice,. Colleges should go over all these points just before gaduation. Maybe they do.

Quick question.... I had have people use me as a reference. I have no problem with that, if I do I let them know. When the employer calls me and asks..., are they a good person, do they have a good work ethic, how much sick time have they used? (which I do not keep track off, not my job). I just tell them.."HIPAA" .. I can tell you I know them, I have worked with them, but anything beyond that, "HIPAA" .. I will tell them Do not mistake my silence as a sign of anything negative, However your work ethics might be different than mine. I don't feel comfortable telling you, anything of a personal nature about this applicant.
