Good Morning and I hope everyone has a great week.

This past Friday, I drove to Arkansas to see my mother’s gravesite and to conduct some family business. It was a great day and more important than any family business, I left Arkansas with this poem in my head.

I hope you enjoy it.

R.I.P. Mom

As I kneel at your grave
And my hands on your headstone
I can feel your love.
And I know I’m not alone.

The grass on my knees
And everything feels so right
This position you taught me.
As I said my prayers at night.

Growing up with my two parents
Was the best feeling, which made me glad
Knowing they loved me
Was the best feeling I ever had.

Now so much has changed
As you are both laid long to rest
Just touching your headstone
And knowing you are the best.

Mom, I brought you a dozen roses
And they look beautiful in the sun
They remind me of your love
And all the time…
