My First Semester Away from Home
Somethings you never forget, like my first semester in college. A whole new world was waiting for me, 100 miles away from my family home. I was about to leave behind everything thing I knew since I was a child. I would miss my family, but this was my first step into adulthood. Time to go.
My car was packed and ready to go. However, Mom flagged me down in the driveway just before I left. She had a paper sack with a few sandwiches in it, and a couple of cokes. I was not sure if this is how you start adulthood, but they were my favorite sandwiches. The small envelope in the sack, with a few dollars was a most welcome going away gift as well. Thanks Mom. (RIP).
My First Reality Check in College
