What I Am Grateful For Today
Finally, a day off
I am most thankful today for the Bible verse, Psalms 46:10, which says: “Be still and know that I am God.” First, I love this Bible verse, as I have mentioned it in many other articles I have written.
However, today, I offer a different interpretation of this verse. Instead of having an issue of a medical variety, or a financial variety, God is saying, “Be Still” and know that I am God.” Which roughly translates to me as, “I got this.”
Today, I look at this verse as “Be still,” as I am in my recliner, and I know that He is God. Which again roughly translates to “I got this.”
With the week I have had, and possibly a lot of us have had, I am relaxing today. I will “Be still today” and reflect that God is in control. No problem.
I am sure there are some religious leaders and laypersons alike who may disagree with me on this. But that is ok. I have others to disagree with me about many things.
Psalms 118:24
“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.”
My point exactly. I will still be in my recliner today, watching some college football and switching over to Xfinity NASCAR Racing. I will rejoice in today, my day off while acknowledging God is most definitely in control of my life. And most importantly, I will be glad that today is finally my day off.
PS: Can someone bring me the remote?
Thanks for stopping by, and thanks for the read.
