B.B. King — Day 18
What is One Skill You Always Wanted to Pick Up and Why?
Here is another great challenge from Nancy Blackman, editor and publisher of Refresh the Soul. This is # 18 in a 30-day series. Here goes:
What skill did I always want to pick up?
For me, this is a two-part answer. You should have known this was not going to be simple. Not coming from me, not little ole’ Albert.
#1, I have always wanted to play the bass guitar. There is just something about the sound of a bass guitar that gets me every time. To those who want to play the lead guitar, more power to you.
Not only did I want to play the bass guitar, but I also wanted to play alongside my favorite blues singer ever, B.B. King. Obviously, neither of those two things happened.
However, it did not keep me from playing my air guitar while driving my Volkswagen Karmann Ghia to high school.
#2. Ride a motorcycle. I never wanted to own a motorcycle; however, I always wanted to know how to drive one. I have the balance, as hard as that is to believe. But I needed to know the sequence of the clutch and the gear shifter with the left foot shifting gears.
