What lessons did you learn this past year- How have you grown and improved?
I would first have to answer this question with one word: Humility.
A quick search on Google defines humility as “a modest or low view of one’s own importance; humbleness.”
This Past Year
It is safe to say in this past year, I have seen and been in some of the most embarrassing situations I could have imagined. It is also safe to say you just have to give up modesty with prostate cancer.
I just have to humble myself to the fact these are medical professionals. They know the latest and greatest ways to attack cancer, and very little of that can I even question.
One of my Doctors is the best. He will tell, in great painful, embarrassing terms, what they will be doing through each procedure. Then he will ask me if I have any questions. Being humble, I just have to…
