Wow, a beautiful and touching story. Our pets are our family, it is so hard when we loose one. I am not a cat person, I am more of a dog person, German Shephers to be exact. I too had one of my Shepherds, to die. It was hard on the whole family, Oddly enough we got a gold fish. We just could not do another shepherd at that time. But this little gold fish, made us all happy, I can't even explain it.
