What is one thing you wish you had? Why?

Here is another great challenge from Nancy Blackman, editor and publisher of Refresh the Soul. This is # 21 in a 30-day Series. Here goes:

You’re stranded on an island. What is one thing you wish you had? And why?

I think before I can answer what I would want on an island, I first want to list what I do not want.

• A boat. Chances are a boat got me stranded in the first place. I do not want to repeat getting stranded again.
• An airplane. I am not a pilot. I don’t want to crash trying to get to safety.
• Any type of weapon. That will only keep me fed as long as I have ammo. And using a knife, I don’t want to get that close to anything that is my enemy.

With the field of what I do want narrowed down, I believe I now know what I need and why.

What I would want while stranded on an island.

I would very much like a solar-powered two-way radio with a built-in GPS location function. So, when I turn it on, I press a distress button, and a rescue signal is sent to the nearest rescue.
